Motown Gospel Captures Top Spots On Billboard Gospel Chart

Motown Gospel celebrates as two of its premiere artists hold down top spots on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums Chart this week.  Tye Tribbett’s Bloody Win makes its debut at number one, marking the second consecutive chart topping placement for the artist.  Additionally, Tasha Cobb Leonard’s Heart Passion Pursuit comes in at number 2 this week.

“The immediate success of Tye’s new album, and the way that Tasha’s new project continues to resonate with audiences, really underscore the importance of artist development and partnership—two core values for our label,” says EJ Gaines, VP of Marketing, Motown Gospel. Monica Coates, VP of A&R continues, “We work hard to develop artists and to partner with them to release relevant music that impacts the world. It is extremely gratifying to see this level of engagement from their fans.”

Motown Gospel was in the spotlight at this year’s Dove Awards as VaShawn Mitchell took home his first Dove Award as an artist  “Joy,” from the #1 album SECRET PLACE: Live In South Africa.

The label looks forward to 2018 with new releases coming from Bryan Coutrney Wilson and the label debut of Lexi.
