Sold Out Crowd for 2011 Super Bowl Gospel Concert

The 2011 Superbowl Gospel Concert hosted by CeCe Winans proved to be a huge success despite Dallas, TX having the worst snow storm in 15 years. The show celebrated its 12th year with a night of inspirational messages and high praise. On hand for the celebration were Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary, Israel and New Breed, and Marvin Sapp. The concert also featured a performance from the 2010 Verizon How Sweet The Sound Winners, Voices of Destiny.   Each year the NFL Players get the opportunity to pick their, “Player’s Choice”, an artist who they would like to have perform on the show, and this year Stellar Award Winning James Fortune and Fiya were selected.

The NFL Choir returned this year under the direction of Myron Butler rendering background vocals to Cece on  “I’ll Take You There”, and on “I’m Walking” with Pastor Donnie McClurkin. Members of the choir included players from the Dallas Cowboys,  Chicago Bears, Raiders, and Steerlers.

Superbowl Gospel was sponsored by Verizon Wireless is the only NFL Sanctioned Gospel event and has served as a fundraiser to charities across the United States. The 2012 celebration is scheduled to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana during Super bowl weekend.
