Handel’s Messiah Soulful Celebration Celebrates 25 Years

In 1992, a superb cast of singers and musicians came together to modernize and re-interpret Handel’s Messiah.  The collective body of work was released as Handel’s Messiah A Soulful Celebration.  The disc would go on to great acclaim capturing a Grammy Award and Dove Award.

The National Symphony Orchestra along with Mervyn Warren (an original executive producer of the project) leads the charge celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Soulful Celebration with a star studded one night performance taking place at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC on December 10th.  This first ever live performance features nine pieces from the 1992 album coupled with three new works composed by Warren.  An all star cast joins NSO for this program that includes Jennifer Holliday, BeBe Winans, CeCe Winans, Take 6, The Legendary Clark Sisters, Chanté Moore, Deitrick Haddon, Kelly Price, Sheléa, Janice Chandler-Eteme and others.
