Damien Sneed and Wynton Marsalis Headline Gospel Celebration Tour

Damien Sneed will conduct the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis along with the 70 voice Chorale Le Chateau for Abyssinian: A Gospel Celebration visiting select cities throughout the United States beginning in October.

The Abyssinian Mass, composed by Marsalis honors the 200th anniversary of Harlem’s Abyssinian Baptist Church and is a collaboration of  jazz, gospel, instrumentation and vocals. The tour kicks off in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on October 3rd and includes stops at Washington DC’s prestigious Kennedy Center and the Black Academy of Arts and Letters in Dallas, Texas.

Chorale Le Chateau is prominently featured throughout the mass and is recognized for their stirring rendition of God Bless America, released digitally via Amazon and iTunes earlier this year.
