Lasha Knox Hits Top Spot on Radio
Her vocals are rooted in strength – physical, mental and spiritual. Her recently released album, TESTIFY VOL. 1, is her story of resilience, redemption, and hope. LaShá Knox is a woman who embraces every moment of life and shares it through music and ministry.
Being a relatively new artist in Gospel music, her first single with record label Blacksmoke Music Worldwide, “Surrounded (Fight My Battles),” featuring James Fortune, set her in place for a 2025 Stellar Award nomination for Traditional Female Artist of the Year. Her newest single, “Right There,” featuring Earnest Pugh, has now topped the Billboard and Mediabase Gospel Radio Chart at #1 (week of July 11).
The contemporary ballad is brilliantly and passionately crafted by songwriter and producer Pastor John Elmore. Knox and Pugh deliver a performance that moves the soul and, as Pugh states, “reminds us of the omnipresence of God who is by our side at all times.”
“Right There” is LaShá’s first #1 Billboard Radio Single. She shares her gratitude for this career milestone: “When I found out my single Right There is the #1 Gospel song in the country, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. This moment is about so much more than a chart position—it’s a testimony of God’s faithfulness. Every prayer, every season of waiting, every sacrifice, and every moment of trusting God has led to this. He has kept every promise, opened doors only He could open, and reminded me that His timing is always perfect.
Thank you, Mr Kerry Douglas and the Blacksmoke Music Worldwide Team, Pastor John W. Elmore, Lady Terrie Elmore, David Ptomey, and Alive City Church. Thank you to Gospel radio, and to everyone who prayed, supported, streamed, and believed in this message. Above all, I give God all the glory.”
“Right There” single is available on all digital music outlets and the official music video is available on LaShá’s YouTube channel.
“My prayer is that when people hear Right There, they’re reminded that God is always present, always faithful, and His promises never fail,” says LaShá.
