Start Your Day Features Gospel Artists In Performance

Black News Channel (BNC), the nation’s fastest growing news network, is working in partnership with RCA Inspiration to feature multiple performances from several award-winning artists on the Start Your Day with Sharon and Mike morning show, which airs weekdays on BNC from 6-10 AM ET. Starting today through Thursday within the show’s nine o’clock hour, these special performances from chart-topping gospel artists will provide a captivating close to the network’s inaugural Summer Concert Series Finale.

Gospel legend Kirk Franklin joins top industry songwriters and musicians like Jonathan McReynolds, Koryn Hawthorne, Le’Andria Johnson and DOE for a celebration of faith and family at the famed National Museum of African American Music in the heart of Nashville.

“The impact that Black music – especially gospel music – has had on American history and culture is undeniable,” said Mike Hill, co-host of Start Your Day alongside Sharon Reed. “Sharon and I are excited to welcome these performances from the amazing National Museum of African American Music as BNC continues to develop and feature content that inspires our audience.”

Phil Thornton, RCA Inspiration SVP & GM says, “We are thrilled to partner with Black News Channel on this special series, to honor the important heritage of Gospel Music and its lasting impact on uplifting our spirits and bringing people together. It’s a joy to present this amazing lineup of performances with our artists who continue to blaze new trails creatively and drive Gospel music forward.”

Start Your Day will celebrate gospel’s rich history with these must-see performances and exclusive interviews with each artist, conducted by BNC Correspondent Nerissa Knight. Sharon and Mike kick off the week-long event with performances from Jonathan McReynolds and DOE on Monday, while Kirk Franklin closes the Summer Concert Series Finale with a melody of classic and current hits on Thursday.
