Koryn Hawthorne And William Murphy Celebrate MLK Day With The Atlanta Hawks

Faith and Family Day brings the glorious sounds of Gospel music to the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on MLK Day January 21st.

At just 21 years old, Dove Award-winning and GRAMMY®-nominated artist Koryn Hawthorne has quickly broken records with her smash hit, “Won’t He Do It,” being crowned the first female artist to hold the #1 position on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs Chart for 40 weeks. Nominated for a 2019 GRAMMY® for “Won’t He Do It,” Koryn released her first full-length album, Unstoppable, in July 2018 which debuted at #1 on Billboard, and she is also nominated for four Stellar Awards. Performing at the Atlanta Hawks game celebrating their Faith and Family Day, Koryn will take the court for the national anthem, half-time, and a post-game performance. She recently performed at the 2018 Soul Train Awards on BET and continues to tour around the country.

Reverent worship leader, singer and songwriter, William Murphy is at the helm of enduring praise anthems “Praise Is What I Do,” “It’s Working,” and “Everlasting God”. His latest “Settle Here” from his forthcoming album scheduled to release in March 2019, is an atmosphere shifting worship anthem, capturing Murphy’s live performance in Atlanta. The new single follows Murphy’s most recent acclaimed GRAMMY®-nominated live releases, the #1 album Demonstrate (2016), which featured two hit singles “Arise (You Are Good)” and “Everlasting God” (feat. Bishop James Morton), and God Chaser (2013). Performing at the Atlanta Hawks game celebrating their Faith and Family Day, William Murphy and his church choir, CONTAGIOUS, will be a part of the introduction of the players at the start of the game, bringing a unique and exciting flare to the ceremony.
