Caravans Reunite In Memory of Inez Andrews at Stellar Awards

Former Caravans and Gospel Music Legends Pastor Shirley Caesar, Evangelist Dorothy Norwood and Delois Washington will be on hand to take part in this special salute to the “High Priestess of Gospel”, the late Inez Andrews and her 60 years in gospel music. Dr. Bobby Jones will present the Legends Award to members of Andrews’ family.

As a member of the iconic gospel group, The Caravans (hand picked by the late Albertina Walker), Inez Andrews joined the group in 1957 and took the nation by storm making the now classic recordings of  “Mary, Don’t You Weep,” “I’m Willing” and “I’m Not Tired Yet.” She would go on to additional accliam as a solo artist with hits including, Lord, Don’t Move the Mountain, Just For Me, I Made It and When the Gates Swing Open.
