Reissues – Lamont Lenox Yes I Can
We absolutely LOVE reissues, and this one is noteworthy. KNE Entertainment has made available Yes I Can, the solo disc from Chicago singer/songwriter Lamont Lenox. For Lamont Lenox, Gospel music has been the family business. His father James Lenox recorded I Won’t Complain (and the world hasn’t been the same since, see our post here ) and his mom sang with both the Dorothy Norwood Singers and the Jessy Dixon Singers. Brother Kelvin held his own as singer and songwriter, penning the hit Nobody Like Jesus for the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar and sister Annette (Queenie) has traveled the globe singing with Donnie McClurkin (but alas, who can forget her voice giving life to Rudolph Stanfield’s Yes I Will).
Lamont is equally credited for creating memorable hits for Rev. Clay Evans and Fellowship Church Choir, the Church of God In Christ International Mass Choir, Dexter Walker & Zion Movement and a host of others. His travels have taken him across the US and abroad to Africa, Europe and South America to sing and share his music with the masses. Lenox’s solo project, Yes I Can is simple reflections of a man and his music giving honor to God and is now available for digital download.
