Ted and Sheri Top Radio Charts

This week Ted & Sheri cemented their comeback with their radio single, “You’ve Been So Faithful (Groove),” hitting No. 1 on both the Billboard and Mediabase Gospel Airplay charts. The song is a brilliant reworking of Eddie James & the Phoenix Mass Choir’s 1995 cut “You’ve Been So Faithful.” The chart-topping track has also accumulated over 4 million digital streams.
The song is featured on the duo’s current album “Again…” (Ted & Sheri, LLC / Black Smoke Music Worldwide) which also features their collaboration with The Walls Group on “Now I Know,” the soulful track about finding spirituality amid a world of crazy on “Secret Place” and other fine tracks.
Prior to reuniting in 2022, the duo had not recorded together since 2004.Ted Winn and Sheri Jones Moffet – both natives of Memphis, Tennessee – grew up singing in church. They met when they both sang with Kevin Davidson & The Voices of Binghamton. Then, Moffet followed Winn when he formed Ted Winn & Deliverance. In 1995, Winn and Moffet formed the Ted & Sheri duo. They eventually landed a deal with the indie label, Church Howse Records, in Los Angeles. In 2001, their dynamic vocal chemistry earned them two Stellar Gospel Music Awards for their debut album, The Healing Starts Right There (Church Howse). Over the next three years, they toured vigorously and enjoyed radio success with “Thank Him,” “I’ll Be Thinking of You,” “Celebrate,” and their signature cut, “Come Ye Disconsolate.”
The duo amicably parted ways and decided to pursue solo careers circa 2007. Jones Moffett earned Billboard Top 30 Gospel Airplay hits with “Shine” and “Faith to Believe.” However, her biggest hit was as the soloist on Donald Lawrence Presents the Tri-City Singers’ classic tune, “Encourage Yourself,” which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart in 2007. Winn’s solo career includes a half dozen chart singles and Billboard Top Ten hits, “The Lifter” and “Stand in Awe.”
