New Music From Tyler Perry Alum Maurice Lauchner
Singer and actor Maurice Lauchner grew up believing “a man’s gift will make room for him and bring him before great men”. Knowing he possessed a gift of being able to connect with audiences, the NY native took God at His word and waited patiently for the doors of opportunity to open. Lauchner’s acting opportunities included roles on The Cosby Show and in the documentary on the life of Emmit Till, but his work in the Tyler Perry stage plays Madea Christmas, Aunt Bam’s Place and Madea Gets a Job brought him national recognition.
Lauchner released an CD of hymns in 2009 and was eager to begin work on a new album when he was introduced to the new song, Can’t Live Without You. The song caught his attention. “I heard Can’t Live Without You and was immediately taken with the song’s refrain”, states Lauchner. “I called Estee Bullock (Hezekiah Walker) and sang the chorus to him over the phone and in about a week, he called me back with some verses he had written. It was then that I knew we were ready to record this track. Looking over my life and all of the things that me, my wife and children have been through, I know that I couldn’t have made it without the Lord, so the song has a real personal meaning to me. The Apostle Paul reminds us that in Him (GOD) we live, move and have our being. As we live, we will encounter struggles in life. but how you go through your struggle determines how you will come out of it. God allows struggles to bring back into focus that He is our way out. He has our back, knows our future and He really loves us. He gives purpose to our lives and gives us reason to live.
Can’t Live Without You hits digital outlets on July 4th.
