Motown Gospel Celebrate Dove Award Nominations

Motown Gospel is honored to celebrate six nominations in the upcoming 51st Annual GMA Dove Awards. Multi-Dove Award winner Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Gene Moore, and gospel legends The Clark Sisters were recognized across six categories in the nominations, announced yesterday via the Gospel Music Association’s Facebook Page.

Global chart-topper Tasha Cobbs Leonard earn high honors as the only gospel artist nominated in the coveted Artist of the Year category. She also lands another nomination for Gospel Artist of the Year, an honor she won in both 2018 and 2015. Finally, she is recognized for her guest performance on Kierra Sheard’s “Something Has To Break” in the Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year category.

Emerging Gospel soul singer Gene Moore celebrates his first GMA Dove Award nomination for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for the popular anthem “Won’t Be Moved,” co-written by BJ the Chicago Kid and Cedric “Ced” Smith, from Gene Moore’s his sophomore album Tunnel Vision

The legendary gospel group, The Clark Sisters, in partnership with Karew Records, received two Dove nominations for Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for their hit single “Victory,” and Traditional Gospel Album of the Year for their highly anticipated album The Return, released earlier this year.
