Holiday Sounds From Enon Music Group
As rising label Enon Music Group continues celebrating its 5-year anniversary, they are thrilled to release new holiday music to inspire and uplift everyone during this season. Without a doubt, 2020 has been a challenging year. EMG offers Christmas music to remind the world of the greatest event of hope – the birth of Jesus Christ.
“December is the month of merriment. We get two holidays in the span of a week, and a reflective time for celebration, adoration, commemoration and commendation,” says Dr. Garland “Miche” Waller, VP of Enon Music Group. “It’s the most wonderful time to anticipate the coming Christ, the Savior of the world. Music has a unique ability to usher in joy and invoke peace and bring about healing. This year EMG offers nostalgia, hope and unbridled joy by pairing Pastor Alyn E. Waller with Mark Kibble singing “Go Tell It On The Mountain”, offering a full orchestral complement on the inimitable “A Merry Little Christmas” by Dennis Atkinson, Jr. and releasing all that’s rich and soul-stirring from Rhyme and Reason. It’s just that good.”
After their 2019 A REASON TO LOVE CHRISTMAS EP, the production company called Rhyme & Reason return this year to present their latest compilation album: A REASONABLE GIFT. Rhyme & Reason was formed between friends Josh Lay and Morgan Turner. Josh, the songwriter, lyricist, and vocal producer; Morgan, the composer and arranger unified their strengths to form Rhyme & Reason Productions and release projects together with distribution from EMG.
Powerhouse singer April Hall is featured the traditional and soulful lead single “Jesus What A Wonderful Child”. A REASONABLE GIFT also features a dynamic line-up of artists and groups that collaborate to make the Rhyme & Reason Family: Jemila Richardson, Chico Robinson, Robert Copeland, Jamaal Miller, The Stewart Brothers, Ryan Vincent Ford, Jarrell Hosley, Lauren Rile, Anthony Jefferson, Derrick McDuffey, and Jahana McCoy.
“This project embodied all team members that are involved in the Rhyme & Reason family,” explains Morgan Turner. “We wanted to have a spirit-filled, holiday-filled body of music that would show unity, family, and most important JESUS CHRIST. The record is a combination of all the hearts and expressions of each artist portrayed in song. The album turned out better than we could have imagined!”
Enon Music Group also introduces two more artists this year with holiday music – Dennis Atkinson, Jr. and Pastor Julia Neufeld-Abel.
Dennis Atkinson, Jr featuring The Budapest Orchestra release “A Merry Little Christmas”. Atkinson is a brilliant musician and arranger who offers this beautiful rendition of the holiday classic. “A Merry Little Christmas” also features Tyrus Bush, whose voice is reminiscent of the legendary Nat King Cole, and the exquisite hum of violinist Caitlin Edwards. The Budapest Scoring Orchestra performs Atkinson’s arrangement in a flawless flow of musical elegance and precision.
Pastor Julia Neufeld-Abel belts out a high-spirited rendition of “Wonderful Child”. Julia is co-founder of Kingdom Truth Ministries in Portland, OR. For over 60 years she has used her musical gifts to inspire and teach others about the joys of music in the service of God. She is a musician, clinician and minister of music who has traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally.
In addition to the new Christmas songs and albums by Enon Music Group, fans can add to their holiday playlist Dr. Alyn E. Waller “Go Tell It On the Mountain” featuring Mark Kibble from the multiple Grammy® Award-winning group Take 6. The 2020 Stellar Award-nominated choir Zak Williams and 1AKORD also have their rendition of the beloved song “Go Tell It”.
