Dorsey Convention is Kentucky Bound
Dr. Marabeth Gentry extends an invitation for all to join her and the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses for its 83rd annual gathering taking place in Louisville, Kentucky August 6th – 13th. The Dorsey Convention, founded and organized by the Father of Gospel Music, Professor Thomas A. Dorsey is the oldest African American singing organization in the world.
In addition to a full slate of classes, the convention will offer new music as presented by the convention choirs with special guests to include Bishop Marvin Sapp, Bishop Larry Trotter and the Sweet Holy Spirit Choir, Kierra Sheard, Tasha Page Lockhart, Evangelist Beverly Crawford and the Canton Spirituals.
