Cheryl Fortune Joins The Ranks With Fighters

Cheryl Fortune has already made a name for herself as a Billboard chart topping songwriter, having written songs for  Shirley Caesar, Hart Ramsey and the NCC Family Choir, Tasha Cobbs, Zacardi Cortez and Isaac Carree.  Fortune steps into the spotlight as a singer/songwriter with the debut of her new single Fighters on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart.

The song is very personal for Fortune.   “The last two years have been extremely difficult for me and my family but we’re fighting our way through it,” she says. “This song was born out of that situation and it’s a message of hope to anyone who has a fight on their hands.  Whether it’s a relationship, trouble on the job or a health crisis, you can fight it and win.”

Fortune is the first single from Fortune’s untitled CD serving as the anchor for her new imprint partnership with Lucius Hoskins and Tyscot Records.  Production was completed on a concept video for Fighters recently as the video heads into rotation at Music Choice, Centric TV and BET Gospel.
