Anaysha Figueroa Cooper Helps Us Feel Blessed
Anaysha Figueroa Cooper sums up her sentiments nicely in the new single, Blessed, hitting digital outlets this week. The powerhouse vocalist counts her blessings and God’s faithfulness as the sustaining focal point of her life.
With music serving as a key component of her formative years, Cooper enjoyed the duties of being a “PK” and sharing leads in the local church choir along with her sister Timiney. Cooper did background work for a number of artists including Ledisi, Israel Houghton, Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, Marvin Sapp, James Fortune and Fred Hammond before landing an eight year stint traveling with Kirk Franklin. In 2013, Cooper scored a huge hit with a remake of Tramaine Hawkins’ Holy One, which appeared on the BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Live disc. Cooper debuted the new song on the BET show Joyful Noise with Tye Tribbett.
