2015 Dove Awards Highlights
Last night’s 46th Annual Dove Awards went off in grand fashion at the Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University, featuring hosts Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson and Erica Campbell.
In addition to hosting, Campbell performed and won an award for Contemporary Gospel/Urban Song of the Year – “I Luh God”, saying in her acceptance, “My prayer is that I don’t want anything to upstage me. I want my flesh to die and him to rise so he always shines!”
Other winners in gospel categories are:
Gospel Artist of the Year: Tasha Cobbs
Artist of the Year: Lecrae (Reach Records)
Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year: “All I Need Is You” Lecrae
Contemporary Gospel/Urban Album of the Year: Forever Yours Smokie Norful
Traditional Gospel Album of the Year: Worth Fighting For Brian Courtney Wilson
Traditional Gospel Song of the Year: “How Awesome is Our God” (Israel & New Breed ft. Yolanda Adams)
Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year: Anomoly, Lecrae
Praise DC picked up the Radio Impact Award and Dr. Bobby Jones was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The entire show will broadcast on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on Sunday, October 18th at 9:00PM CST.
