Lawrence Brownlee and Damien Sneed Featured On NPR's All Things Considered
Music from Spiritual Sketches, the LeChateau Earl Records release from celebrated tenor Lawrence Brownlee and master pianist Damien Sneed was featured on the weekend edition of National Public Radio’s All Things Considered program. NPR Music’s Tom Huizenga notes that the record does a great job of blending Brownlee’s awesome opera technique with very soulful singing. All Things Considered host Jacki Lyden echoed Huizenga and said that Sneed and Brownlee’s powerful performance of All Night, All Day is reminiscent of “Sunday Morning” and puts tears in your eyes.
Sneed and Brownlee celebrated the release of Sketches with a performance at Harlem’s historic Abyssinian Baptist Church as well as a Meet the Artist session at the Apple Store in Soho New York.
