Tony D Helps New Artists Break In

To some, he is just a guitar playing man in a hat who loves Gospel music, but to a host of others, radio journeyman Tony D is the answer to prayer for independent artists, and the New Artist Profile is his vehicle of choice to introduce those artists to people across the country.

The New Artist Profile With Tony D Is one of the longest running independent artist radio showcases in the country. The show began in 2003 airing on WAAW Shout 94.7 FM Aiken South Carolina.

Since that time, The NAP Show has helped hundreds of artists get airplay and radio exposure. It serves as a launching pad for many. Tony speaks of the showcase’s origins, “ I started this show because of the need for our home grown recording artists here in the Aiken SC / August’s GA area to receive radio exposure on local radio, states Tony. “As I began to push the show, I realized that there were so many great emerging artists that needed a platform. God showed me the importance of this platform and directed me to take it to a higher level.”

Tony D and The New Artist Profile is the 8 time winner of the Spin Awards in Atlanta GA as well as the Rhythm Of Gospel Awards For Best Radio Show.

The NAP Show currently airs on over 25 radio stations on the internet and terrestrial across the world. Some of the states that The NAP Show airs include California, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, Michigan, Alabama. The show also airs internationally in England, Antiqua, Canada and Africa.
