Sheila Wilson Steps To The Mic With Debut Single

Sheila Wilson’s greatest life joys come from her position as   “Mama”.  She has been a commanding presence and support system, loving God, going to church and providing a stable family life while  nurturing her children.  With God and music as influences, its no wonder that her middle son, Bryan Andrew Wilson would achieve fame leading His Eye Is On The Sparrow with the Mississippi Mass Children’s Choir and go on to record with Malaco Records.

Mama Sheila readily steps to the plate to release her first solo effort, Just Fine.  The song features her son Bryan and is filled with meaning for Wilson and she has survived many precarious situations including a battle with cancer a few years ago.  In the midst of cancer treatment, Wilson was let go from her job.  “It seemed like everything in the world was crashing down around me,” she recalls. “My supervisor was unsympathetic to my health situation, but God pushed me and wouldn’t let me get bogged down in my circumstances.”

Fortified with a greater determination, Mama Shirley pursued her degree graduating from Spring Arbor University.  Through all her trials, she declares God’s goodness and sings with great enthusiasm.  Just Fine was released by Bryan Songs records and hit number 15 on the Billboard Top Singles Chart.  “I was so excited to hear that the song had charted,” Wilson says.
