Kim Stratton Returns With Unto The Lamb

Popular celebrity chef and restauranteur  Kim Stratton has returned to an early love – gospel music – on her first recording in six years. The heart and soulful new offering, “Unto the Lamb” (Kingdom Records), is an anthem-styled praise and worship ballad that showcases Stratton’s thunderous vocal prowess and technique. “I think that in the back of my mind I always wanted to record again but the catering side had picked up so much that I had to put music on the shelf for a second…but my catering clients wouldn’t leave me alone about wanting new music, so I prayed about it and here we are,” she says of the song. “I’m very excited.”

The heart-rending “Unto the Lamb” track is now available as a digital single on all major digitals service providers such as iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play, etc.  “I believe it is a reminder that no matter what circumstances look like, please know that God is in control,” Stratton says. “He has redeemed us out of the hands of the enemy. No matter what’s going on in the world, we are covered by God’s protection.”

In 2015, the mesmerizing vocalist opened Kim Stratton’s Kitchen, in Palatine, IL. It has since moved to the River Oaks Center Mall in Calumet City, IL. Stratton’s delectable eats have been winning her new fans ever since. Her favorite specialty is Shrimp and Grits. Aside from it, some of her patron favorites are her Peach Cobbler and her Macaroni and Cheese dishes. She has provided spreads for corporate clients ranging from AT&T to the Hyatt Hotel chain. She’s also fed celebrities such as Jennifer Hudson and Tamela Mann to Bishop T.D. Jakes and M.C. Lyte.

Stratton first surfaced on the music scene in 1994 with the release of her debut album, I’m In This Place (Glorious Records), which reached No. 18 on Billboard’s Top Gospel albums sales chart.
