Israel Finds Hope On The Road To Demaskus

Six time GRAMMY® winner and world-renowned artist, songwriter and producer, Israel Houghton, released his latest album, Road To DeMaskUs on September 28th.   The title of the eleven-track album is a reference to the Biblical story of the Apostle Paul’s transformation and reflects the masks that people wear to hide their pain and insecurities.

Road To DeMaskUs includes soul-stirring songs such as “Reckless Love,” “Free Indeed (You Said I Am)” and “Promise Keeper” with Travis Greene as well as the duets, “Secrets” and “I’m With You / Be Still,” with Houghton’s wife, artist and EMMY winning co-host of The Real, Adrienne Houghton. Throughout the album, which features other guest appearances from The Walls Group and Chevelle Franklyn, Houghton shares messages of encouragement, having faith and perseverance in the face of fear and peeling off the masks that are holding us back. He shares, “I feel like I’ve been making this record all of my life. I’m truly happy with it being ready at this time for release. I pray it encourages and inspires people to find an authentic relationship with God and take off the mask we all tend to wear.”

Houghton premiered the video for “Secrets,” which was directed by actress Meagan Good, on BET Gospel and BET.com. The Houghtons will perform the song for the first time on television on the daytime talk show, The Real. They will also perform together on the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family on October 8th.
