Dove Award Winner Sarah Gaines Passes

GOSPELflava joins others around the country celebrating the life of Dove Award-winning singer Sarah Gaines, who passed away recently.  Sarah Gaines (along with then husband Billy Gaines) burst on the scene in 1986 with their debut album Billy And Sarah Gaines. The album delivered soon to be classics “He’s Risen In Me”, “You Are Faithful” and “Come Drink At My Table”. During their time together, the Gaines dominated the radio charts hitting Number 1 on the Top 40 six times with unforgettable classics that included  “A Friend Indeed,” “How Great His Heart Must Be,” “I Found Someone,” “Right Here at Home,” “The Same All The Time,” and “While You Wait.” In later years, Sarah Gaines went on to record a children’s album,  Miss Kitty’s Neighborhood Play Place in 2006 followed by Miss Kitty’s Neighborhood Christmas Show.
