Candi Staton on TV One's Unsung

Music legend Candi Staton discusses her disco days as part of a special two-hour episode of TV One’s “Unsung” series. Unsung covers the 1970s disco era with interviews by Staton, Gloria Gaynor, Nile Rodgers (Chic), K.C. & The Sunshine Band and others.

Staton talks about the impact of disco music on popular culture and shares insight on the composition of her signature song “Young Hearts Run Free”. In the interview, Staton speaks candidly about how she grew tired of the disco lifestyle and found redemption in coming to know Jesus Christ as her personal savior.  The very special episode of Unsung airs this Sunday, March 3, 2013 @ 6:00 PM EST and Sunday, March 17, 2013 @6:45 PM EST.

I Will Sing My Praise To You is Staton’s personal testimony of praise to God for his many blessings as she reflects over her life. The song is gaining momentum at radio and an album is scheduled for a summer release.
