AppleJaxx
805 P.O.P. EP

The Nureau Ink movement is alive and well. The Tonéx-driven faction has spilled their Ink all over America in underground cameos and spots throughout Tonex recordings.

The latest delegate to hit the masses is AppleJaxx. The North Carolina emcee first CDappeared on the single "Doesn't Really Matter" and is ready with his solo EP release, 805 P.O.P.. Brace yourself because this is instant vintage!!

Naturally, T. Bizzy (Tonéx's production personality) handles some of the production duties on this project and it's a perfect combination. Wyzeguyz ably tackle the rest.

"Nureau Ink" from Tonéx's Out The Box project (see album review) gets an extension and a facelift with its new title, "Nureau Anthem". The cut features AppleJaxx dropping his laidback flow combined with Tonéx's rhymes. This phatness gets you charged and ready to see how the track will resolve. Oddly enough, much like "Nureau Ink", the track ends asking Applejaxx to "kick that 805". The difference is that it flows right into "805", featuring AppleJaxx and Kimme. This track first saw the light of day on the Higher Ground Soundtrack (see album review) and its resurgence here is well warranted. Be sure not to miss the lyrical throwback here AppleJaxx revisits a lyrical stanza from "Pronounced Toe-nay". It's a Nureau classic.

Tonéx handles the hook on "Memories", a song that is apparently autobiographical, as AppleJaxx talks about his life and his experiences. He reminisces and wonders where the time went, as many of us tend to do.

Definition of Nureau
CD For those who like the beats that would rock any club, “Bounce With Me” is the song for you. Warning: there will be a temptation to wear out the repeat button, it is just that hot. The beat, KJ-52’s rhyming and Todd Collins singing the hook make the cut....

T. Bizzy jumps in on "Mind Over Matter", which has the two talk about life and fun as they prepare for a late-night journey to the Waffle House. Now, who can't relate to that? T. Bizzy also hangs out on the bonus track "Uptown", which serves to be another groove that talks about the fun of a house party.

You can't afford to miss the gem that is "Get Ready". Apostle 13 joins the fray on this heavy street track. While AppleJaxx's lyrical skills shine throughout this project, perhaps it shines brightest on this track. With references ranging from Luigi of the Super Mario Brothers to pro wrestling legend Barry Windham, Applejaxx lays down some serious heat on this one, which warns the world to prepare for the Nureau movement.

So, brace yourself, for the latest Nureau delegate is officially on the scene. As a 9-track EP, P.O.P. is a sure sign that the Nureau World Order is in full effect. The drawback is that this project simply isn't long enough. But we guess that's why they call it an EP.
