Uncovered / Covered This blissfully wedded duo submits a double CD titled Uncovered/ Covered that takes a real look at love in its totality. While the Uncovered disc focuses on the romantic aspect of the love relationship, the Covered submission showcases the duo's genuine love for Christ. Lattimore & Moore are certainly no strangers to the gospel genre. Both have made frequent appearances in major Gospel venues, with Lattimore breaking in as a lead vocalist nearly a decade ago on the much-heralded Broken project from William Becton. With that said, this eleven-track effort has its own identity and flavor, with the artists making a clear statement of their unashamed faith. Enlisting both the production and vocal genius of the incomparable Fred Hammond, Lattimore and Moore present a project that, much like their R&B submissions, put more emphasis on lyrical authenticity than instrumental accoutrements. The duo teams with Hammond, his vocal team, and the musical brilliance of Bobby Sparks throughout. The bottom line is a collection of songs that showcases purity of heart and genuine dedication to Jesus Christ. It's hard to resist the attraction of "Make Me Like The Moon", which expresses the real desire to see God's glory reflected ("like the moon") in the life of the believer and that it never be overshadowed by artistry or selfish activities. The same magnetism is found in "No Limit" and its remix, which chronicles the devotion of Mary and her alabaster box experience. Marketed to both mainstream and Gospel, Uncovered / Covered is another winner for Kenny Lattimore and Chanté Moore, who together deftly show that all aspects of love can be musically expressed without compromise of integrity.
