Tyscot Records<\/span><\/b> is approaching its golden anniversary with a golden signing. The label has signed a new partnership agreement with <\/span>GiftBox Music Group<\/span><\/b>. The company is co-owned by seasoned vocalist <\/span>Tasha Page-Lockhart<\/span><\/b> (the Stellar Award winning vocalist who soared to fame after winning the <\/span>BET Sunday Best<\/span><\/i><\/b> talent competition in 2013 and producing a string of Top Ten radio hits) and her business partner <\/span>Kai \u201cVerse\u201d Tyler<\/span><\/b> (the charismatic music executive who has worked with a who\u2019s who in Hip-Hop and R&B music). <\/span>\u201cTasha is an absolute powerhouse vocalist, worshipper and performer,\u201d says Tyscot Records President, <\/span>Bryant Scott<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re excited to partner with her production company, <\/span>GiftBox Music Group<\/span><\/b>. <\/span>Together, we will<\/span> develop cutting edge music and videos that are certain to bless listeners across genres.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A Detroit, MI native, Lockhart\u2019s parents are legendary gospel singer <\/span>Lisa Page Brooks,<\/span><\/b> and the late producer and co-founder of the iconic gospel band Commissioned, <\/span>Michael Brooks<\/span><\/b>. She earned her first music credits backing up acts such as <\/span>Tim Bowman Jr<\/span><\/b>. and <\/span>Deitrick Haddon\u2019s Voices of Unity Choir<\/span><\/b>. In 2013, Lockhart won <\/span>BET\u2019s<\/span><\/b> Sunday Best<\/span><\/i><\/b> music competition television series which led to a recording deal with <\/span>Kirk Franklin\u2019s Fo Yo Soul<\/span><\/b> recording label. Her Top Ten debut album, <\/span>Here Right Now<\/span><\/i><\/b>, produced the <\/span>Billboard<\/span><\/i> Top Ten Gospel Airplay chart single, \u201c<\/span>Different<\/span><\/b>.\u201d The project earned three Stellar Award nominations with her winning the <\/span>New Artist of the Yea<\/span><\/b>r category.
