Celebrated multi genre artist and instrumentalist Damien Sneed prepares for the release of new music a the top of the summer season.\u00a0 OUR SONG, OUR STORY is a musical tribute to the barrier-breaking, iconic voices of African American classical music legends like Marian Anderson, Paul Robeson, Jessye Norman, and more.\u00a0 The recording includes operatic arias, art songs, and spirituals by both historic and contemporary African American composers (Harry T. Burleigh, Sneed, Wynton Marsalis, Terrance Blanchard and Andrae Crouch) as well as well-known composers such as Copland, Gershwin and Puccini.<\/p>\n
Sneed is joined by Jacqueline Echols-McCarley, soprano Justin Austin, baritone AND Griot String Quartet<\/p>\n
