The Clark Sisters, were nominated to receive the “Dr Bobby Jones Gospel\/Inspirational Award” at the 2020 BET Awards set to air Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 8pm EST.\u00a0 This is the first BET Award nomination for the group and the second major nomination for the song, “Victory”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Clark Sisters are a legendary gospel music group, comprised of sisters Jacky Clark Chisholm<\/strong>, Elbernita “Twinkie” Clark<\/strong>, Dorinda Clark Cole<\/strong>, and Karen Clark Sheard<\/strong>. Born and raised in Detroit, MI., they are the daughters of renowned gospel musician and choral director, the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clar<\/strong>k, and have been singing together since 1966. The Clark Sisters have received numerous notable awards and honors collectively, including 3 Grammy Awards, 15 Stellar Awards, and one NAACP Image Award nomination. The Clark Sisters have produced 17 albums to date \u2014 including their most recent release: The Return. The Return, which debuted at #1 on Nielsen and #2 on Billboard, is a studio album with featured producers Jermaine Dupri<\/strong>, Rodney Jerkins<\/strong>, and Warryn Campbell<\/strong>, with a special rap cameo from Hip Hop legend, Snoop Dogg<\/strong>. The biopic of their lives, executive produced by Mary J. Blige<\/strong>, Missy Elliott<\/strong>, Queen Latifah<\/strong> and Holly Carter, \u201cThe Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel\u201d, premiered on Lifetime on April 11 with 2.7 million viewers!
