Lyricist and rapper Joe Ryan III celebrates his faith with the release of a new 5 track EP, P.O.P. (Purpose Over Perfection), his inaugural studio release for Essential Sound\/Sony Music Entertainment.<\/p>\n
Joe Ryan lives by his two credos: \u201c100% Faith, 0% Doubt\u201d and \u201cMy backup plan is to never back down.\u201d That determination and faith led him to leave his college basketball scholarship to focus on his music career, where he was rewarded by winning Milwaukee\u2019s 103.7 FM \u201cKiss Icon Contest\u201d while homeless and living out of his car. He parlayed that success into composing work for BET., soundtracking the shows \u201cToya: A Family Affair\u201d and \u201cHip Hop Sisters.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ryan took another leap of faith when he drove cross country to Hollywood, California to work with industry giants like Heavy D, The Yin Yang Twins, and MC Lyte. While acquiring placements, Ryan wrote, produced, recorded, & mixed his debut independent album 1-7-8-9<\/em> \u2013 a symbol of the amount of miles he drove to reach Hollywood. The release went to #28 on the US iTunes R&B charts and earned him an exclusive licensing deal in Japan.<\/p>\n While enjoying his newfound success as his Japan-charting single \u201cAll I Want Is You\u201d currently features on the Cartoon Network show \u201cTeen Titans Go!,\u201d Joe Ryan III released his 3rd<\/sup> Service Mixtape <\/em>on Soundcloud earlier this year before starting on his first studio release. With P.O.P.
