Reverend Floyd Flake presents The Worship Experience As a listener you are invited to take part in how that ministry worships corporately. Rev. Floyd Flake invites you to come and join him and The Greater Allen Cathedral for The Worship Experience. Their national release on RCA Inspiration flows in the legacy of choir music, as Rev. Flake presents 10 power-packed tracks that will breathe new life into music ministries across the world. The album has a refreshing mix of songs that bring together old classics and new worship songs. The choir mixes traditional sounds with a contemporary flair that creates a warm presence on the album. BET Sunday Best finalist Michael Pugh begins the praise party with the leading single, "Greater". The mid tempo songs rock with a rich bass line and horn arrangement. Pugh delivers strong vocals on the song that declares that greater is coming into their lives if they speak it into existence. The choir presents the word in song with "Psalms 63" delivering the song with a mid up tempo groove and rich arrangement. Rev. Darius Thomas takes the lead on this song and ushers the listener into a place of pure praise and worship. The blend of the choir is strong as they sound as one united voice as the project continues to flow.
Stellar Award winning producer Rick Robinson pens the track "His Strength". The song speaks to the broken hearted, reminding them that God's strength is there when they are feeling weak. The choir also presents their rendition of the late Bishop Walter Hawkins classic, "Jesus Christ Is The Way". Songs like this remind the listener of the rich legacy of Gospel Music and its timeless message of encouragement. The project brings together talented musicians such as Vindell Smith, Robert Flake, and Shedrick Mitchell. Donald Hayes delivers a rich horn arrangement on "Greater", while Chris Morgan slays the electric guitar on " Be Glorified" one that may just become a praise and worship staple with its bright arrangement, driving tempo, and catchy lyrics. Throughout the entire project all lead vocalist take each song to another level. "Your Grace", "All The Glory", "Lord Do", all contribute to the purpose of the project, which is to provide a worship experience. On this debut, the Greater Allen Cathedral adds a refreshing to Gospel music and to contemporary and traditional music. With the choir's fresh, authentic approach and tone, Rev. Floyd Flake nails it when he says that the choir remains true to its roots while remaining relevant.
