Billboard chart topping artist and award winning singer and songwriter Anthony Brown makes his acting debut in Priest Tyaire’s dramatic stage play Momma’s Boy, hitting the stage on September 7th in Columbia, South Carolina.  Brown whose latest CD A Long Way From Sunday made its debut atop the Billboard Gospel Albums chart joins a star studded cast including Johnny Gill, Robin Givens, Nephew Tommy, Jackeé Harry, Shirley Murdock and Lil “G” from the R & B group “Silk”.

“I’m so grateful to join the cast of ‘Momma’s Boy.’ My character does his best to save his brother from a hard life in the streets … works hard to lead him to Jesus,” Brown said. “This role is perfect for me because it reminds me of my mission in real life. It doesn’t matter where you come from … when you have Jesus it becomes more about where you are going.”
In addition to dates in SC, Momma’s Boy visits major tour stops to include performances in Atlanta GA, San Antonio TX, Kansas City, MO, Philadelphia, PA, and Baltimore MD.
