17th Annual Stellar Award Winners (2002)
Winners for The 17th Annual Stellar Awards have been announced.
The Atlanta Civic Center was once again stuffed to overflow, with heavy duty fans and notable faces and voices alike in attendance. Hosting the live-to-tape celebration on the January 12th evening was Donnie McClurkin and Yolanda Adams.
 The show's highlights were many, with Commissioned Reunion making a special mark, as well as Shirley Caesar singing "Steal Away" with Michelle Williams and backed by Youthful Praise.
Also performing was Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers with the opening "In the Sanctuary", Yolanda Adams with "Thank You", Richard Smallwood and Vision with "Anthem of Praise" and Dottie Peoples with "Show Up and Show Out". Kirk Franklin ended the show with an uptempo new song.
Multiple Stellar winners included Donnie McClurkin (6), Kurt Carr (5), Lee Williams and the Spiritual QCs (2), The New Life Community Choir featuring John P. Kee (2) and Yolanda Adams (2).
