Fan Favorite Stellar Award Winners Announced
The votes have been calculated for the 2010 Stellar Award Fan Favorite categories. Congratulations to Hezekiah Walker & LFC's "Souled Out" ("Song of the Year"), Kim Ruff ("New Artist of the Year"), and Philip Carter & SOV ("Choir of the Year") for their wins in these categories. (Feb. 9, 2010)

Stellar Award Performers Announced
Central City Productions has announced the performance list for the 2010 Stellar Gospel Music Awards. This year's show will feature performances from Mary Mary, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Byron Cage, Dottie Peoples, Richard Smallwood, Israel Houghton, James Fortune, Smokie Norful, Hezekiah Walker & LFC, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Crystal Aikin, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Edwin Hawkins, and Walter Hawkins. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Stellar Awards, which takes place on Jan. 16, 2010 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, and Vickie Winans are slated to host this year's festivities. (Nov. 25, 2009)

Stellar Award Hosts Announced
Kirk Franklin, Vickie Winans, and Donnie McClurkin have been named as hosts for the 25th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. The 2010 awards show returns to Nashville, TN at The Grand Ole Opry for the fifth consecutive year on January 16, 2010. On Oct. 29, 2009, the official nominees will be announced at the Stellar Awards press conference, which will be held at the Sommet Center in Nashville. During that time, the recipients will be named for special awards such as "The James Cleveland Lifetime Award", "The Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award", and "The Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legend Award". (Oct. 21, 2009)

Radio Winners Announced
During the 24th Annual Stellar Awards, several radio stations were honored as the 2009 Radio Station of the Year. Congratulations to the winners...WGOK-900 AM Mobile, AL (Small Market); WXOK-1460 Baton Rouge, LA (Medium Market); WFMI-100.9 FM Virginia Beach, VA (Large Market); WHUR - 96.3 FM Washington, DC (Major Market). Lady Shaunte Garrett of KSON 1240 AM San Diego, CA was named 2009 Gospel Announcer of the Year. (Jan 20, 2009)
Stellar Winners Announced
The 24th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards were handed out on Jan 17th, 2009 at the legendary Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Marvin Sapp took home the lion's share of the pointy trophys, with seven awards including “Artist of the Year,” Song of the Year,” Male Vocalist of the Year,” and “CD of the Year.” His album, Thirsty, also lead to the "Producer of the Year" award for Aaron Lindsay, and also the "Recorded Music Package of the Year" award. Gospel's newest star, Jonathan Nelson, nabbed three Stellar statues: “Contemporary CD of the Year,” “Group/Duo of the Year” and “Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year” for his Right Now Praise album featuring Purpose. Ricky Dillard won two Stellars. Jessica Greene took home "New Artist of the Year" award and Da T.R.U.T.H. won the "Rap / Hip Hop Album of the Year" category. Check here for the complete list:

The 20th Annual Stellar Music Awards have been announced. Leading the way this year was Tonéx and the Peculiar People, with six, followed by Bishop Paul S. Morton & FGBFM Choir and The Williams Brothers with 3 each, respectively. CeCe Winans and Isreal Houghton and New Breed each took home two. Stellar Awards Removes Kanye West from Ballot
Stellar Awards Senior Management and Nominating Committee have revised the 2005 Stellar Award Ballot and have removed Kanye West from consideration in the Rap / Hip Hop Gospel CD of the Year category.
