Chris Byrd and True Victory return to the scene with their fifth release, titled Next Level. This project marks Byrd’s third (and last) offering with Pulse Records, and certainly stands as his most diverse effort.

Known for his contemporary and traditional flair, Byrd starts the project with an introduction that sets the stage for a unique worship and praise experience, and indeed the effort does deliver.

This album contains both live and studio elements, both of which have some very special moments. The “Worship Medley” consists of three new songs (“Since Jesus Came Into My Life”, “Dwell In Me”, and “In the Presence of the Lord”) and are worship-filled and designed to take the listener to the next level of praise and worship.

The project is also filled with its high-impact celebration songs such as “Yet Will I Rejoice” and “Pressin' On”. Byrd certainly does not hold back on his urban offerings. “It’s Gonna Be Alright” and “Let Him In” are definitely urban radio material that will yield some serious head nod. He even offers a very fresh and hip rap cut called “Since I’ve Been Changed”. Add to that an unforgettable holiday urban duet with mentor Rance Allen (“Christmas Is”), and it sounds like Byrd and True Victory are indeed ready to head to that next level.
