Sept, 2006 Detroit’s own Prenestine Williams-Porter celebrated the release of her first album, World Wide God (read review), together with style amongst her closet friends, family, and assorted members of the Gospel media community. Held at Justin’s Record Store in Detroit, the air was filled with excitement as the Motor City Praise Records artist took her place on stage before a standing room only crowd. Letters of congratulations were read from the likes of Dr. Bobby Jones and Sony recording artists Mary Mary. Williams-Porter, clearly overwhelmed, performed three songs from her CD, including the ever so churchy house favorite “Brand New Blessing” which is sure to bring listeners to their feet in praise. The project, released in September 2006, includes appearances from "The Queen of Gospel" Albertina Walker as well as the popular Evelyn Turrentine-Agee. The release party ended with a wonderfully prepared meal and presentations made by Motor City Records president Mr. James Render.
