The next in the string of blockbuster movies with significant Gospel content is Kingdom Come, starring Jada Pinkett. Billed as a warm family comedy about forgiveness, the film also features such names as Darius McCrary, Whoopie Goldberg, Vivica Fox, L.L. Cool J., Tamela Jones, Toni Braxton, Anthony Anderson, Loretta Divine and Clifton Davis. Renowned director Doug McHenry (known for his work on such films as Jason's Lyric, New Jack Swing, Poetic Justice and House Party) is behind this one, which is due on the big screen from Fox Searchlight on April 27, 2001. So where does Natalie Wilson fit in? Known affectionately as 'The Girl Director' for her responsibilities with the New Jersey based SOP Chorale, the GospoCentric artist plays the role of a Gospel singer in the movie, and also sings on the accompanying soundtrack. The soundtrack has significant production from Kirk Franklin, with performances from AZ Yet, Tamar Braxton, Deborah Cox, Crystal Lewis, Tamela Mann, 1NC, Jill Scott, S.O.P. Chorale, Shawn Stockman, Carl Thomas, Trin-i-tee 5:7 and Mary Mary. Peep the pics below, which take you into the personal photo snapshot territory of Wilson. She was able to capture some famous faces on her own camera, as Kingdom Come progressed on set.
