Photo Shoot (1) During the course of the 16th Annual Stellar Awards in Atlanta, several events were going on. Among them was a Gospel luncheon at Justins, hosted by the music and performing rights organization, BMI. Crowded into the restaurant and served with surf and turf, Gospel artists and industry notables enjoyed and celebrated Gospel music. Among those present were Vickie Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Dottie Peoples, Winans Phase 2, GRITS, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Dorothy Norwood, Natalie Wilson and SOP, Rodney Jerkins, Righteous Riders, Albertina Walker, Kim Burrell and Men of Standard. It was music, and it was ministry. Donnie McClurkin spoke from his heart, laying out the bottom line, that what this whole Gospel music thing is about is really quite simple. It's all about Jesus Christ, and lifting up His name. Check out the photos below, and the two bonus mini-movie clips in the right margin (Mary, Mary and Kim Burrell).
